Secretary: Milan Bruls
Treasurer: Mijntje Kersten
Competition Commissioner: Lucas Engelen
PR-Commissioner: Mirte Kuijcks
General Affairs Commissioner: Maureen Burema
Chairman: Gijs van Echteld
Hello everyone,
My name is Gijs van Echteld, and this year I will be fulfilling the role of president of M.S.T.V. Stennis. I am in the process of completing my bachelor's degree in the Maastricht Science Programme and plan to pursue a master's degree here in Maastricht afterward. I grew up in a small village called Wamel, situated between the rivers Maas and Waal.
On the tennis court, I derive more joy from playing tennis and padel than I possess in technical skills, but I hope to further develop these this year. My skills will come to better use this year in the BP, so I hope to see you there or on the tennis and padel courts!
Secretary: Milan Bruls
Hello everyone,
My name is Milan Bruls, and I am 20 years old. This year, I will be taking on the role of secretary of M.S.T.V. Stennis. I am currently in my master's program, but that doesn't stop me from fully dedicating my time to the association. In my free time, I enjoy being active and am learning to play padel (although I'm not very good at it yet). I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone in the BP and on the court! See you soon!
Treasurer: Mijntje Kersten
My name is Mijntje Kersten, and I am 20 years old. This year, I will be taking on the roles of treasurer and sponsorship commissioner for Stennis. I’m originally from the beautiful area around Nijmegen, where I love cycling on my road bike. I’m currently in my third year of studying International Business. I love sports, so last year I played with great enthusiasm in women’s padel team 1. Although the results weren’t the best, I really enjoyed the matches and the drinks afterward. I’m really looking forward to making this anniversary year fantastic together with all of you, and I hope many beers and bubbles will be enjoyed!
Competition commissioner: Lucas Engelen
Hi everyone,
I’m Lucas Engelen, 21 years old, and this year I will be taking on the role of Tournament Commissioner within Stennis. I come from the most beautiful city in the Netherlands, namely Helmond!! I’m also in my second year of medical school.
Within Stennis, I’ll mainly focus on everything related to tennis and padel, such as tournaments, training sessions, club championships, and the Stennis Open. Of course, this doesn’t mean I won’t be involved in the fun things happening at the pub (drinking beer, of course ;)). So, I hope to see you on the court for a game, but also in the BP to enjoy a beer together. See you then!!
PR-Commissioner: Mirte Kuijcks
Hi everyone!!
My name is Mirte, I’m 22 years old, and I’m from Son en Breugel. This is my second year at Stennis. In my first year, I was part of the PrCie, and this year I’ll be back in the PrCie as committee head. Additionally, I’ll be taking on the role of PR Commissioner within the board.
Besides my board year, I’ve also just started my master's in Biomedical Sciences, and I’m a member of the hockey club in Maasje. I hope to work on my tennis/padel skills this year, and of course, I’m excited to help organize another amazing INKOM!!! I’m really looking forward to this year!!!! :))))
Commissioner of General Affairs: Maureen Burema
Hey everyone,
I’m Maureen Burema, and next year I will be taking on the role of Commissioner of General Affairs. I’m from the very lively city of Eindhoven, where I’ve lived my entire life. This will be my second year at Stennis and as a student. Last year, I studied health sciences, but this year I started studying medicine!
Although I didn’t specifically join to play tennis or padel, I really enjoy doing it (even though I’m not good at all). I find it much more fun off the court than on it, so you’ll probably find me there more often ;). I also love hanging out with friends at a café and enjoying a nice glass of wine, but also emptying my bank account in Maastricht's lovely city center.
I hope to help create a really fun year together with everyone; I’m super excited for it!
