Tennis park

MSTV Stennis uses the courts at Hazendans tennis park together with citizen association TC Hazendans. The park currently has 10 brand new clay courts and 2 padel courts, 6 of which are illuminated. In addition, it has 1 practice wall, a spacious cozy canteen (in-house) and two changing rooms. The padel courts at the tennis park can be used all year round and the tennis courts can be used until frost.

Trainings

During the year we offer 5 training periods of 5/6 weeks each. Monday and Tuesday are seen as the regular training days at the TC Hazendans tennis park. These training sessions are provided by a permanent trainer and take place in the evening from 5:00 PM.

Toss

Every Wednesday evening (with certain exceptions) we have a toss evening for all our members from 7:00 PM, where every member is welcome to come and play a game. On these evenings, doubles are mainly played, where members are randomly paired together. The nice thing about this is that there are changes every half hour or so, so you can play tennis and padel with and against different Stennis players.

Toss Drinks In addition to the regular Toss that takes place every Wednesday, a toss drink is also organized every few weeks. On this evening, tennis is combined with a special interpretation! In addition to the delicious drinks, the beer pong tables are set up and the snacks are flying around. These evenings are assured of even more fun than during the normal toss evenings!New paragraph

Competition

Spring and autumn competitions Every year Stennis participates in the official KNLTB competitions. You and your team try to become champions of the group in seven match days, between the beginning of April and the beginning of June and between the beginning of September and the end of October. In most cases, a group consists of eight teams and is divided by level, age and region. A team meets each opponent once. You play at home a number of times at your own club and a number of times you visit another club. The team that has won the most matches after the seven match days is the champion.

Internal Winter CompetitionThe WedCie organizes an Internal Winter Competition (IWC) twice a year. During the IWC you will be classified into pool A, B or C based on rating. Each group consists of 4 teams, each of which will play against each other on a different day. After three rounds of play, the winners of each group are announced and receive a prize. The first IWC takes place in October and November and the second IWC is in January/February.

Ladder competition In the ladder competition you challenge people of approximately your own level to a singles competition. You can find a time that suits both of you. If the player highest on the ladder wins, the ladder remains the same. If the player lower on the ladder wins, you switch places.

Tournaments

Club ChampionshipsThe club championships are organized every year. During this week it will become clear who will be the club champions of Stennis. But this week is also all about activities and parties.

Old-new members tournamentDuring this tournament, old and new members are put into pairs. This way all members get to know each other even better. In between, the IntroCie organizes fun activities.

Handicap tournamentWe want to level the tennis level by using handicaps. For example, someone with a rating of 9 will receive a balloon as a handicap and someone with a rating of 4 will have to play tennis with his or her non-dominant hand. So the higher the rating, the heavier your handicap. This ensures more integration among the members, because you then play tennis with and against people you would never play against in a normal situation.

Hazendans-Stennis mixEvery year, MSTV Stennis and TC Hazendans join forces to organize a tournament. During this tournament, members of MSTV Stennis and TC Hazendans are paired together and fun matches are played.

Stennis Super Smash The Stennis Super Smash is organized twice a year. This is a tournament that will take place over the weekend, usually on a Sunday. Tennis and padel are both played here! In addition, we all eat together and organize activities in between.

Stennis OpenFrance has Roland Garros, England has Wimbledon, Australia has Australian Open and the United States has Donald Trump, but we have Stennis Open. This is one of the larger tennis tournaments in Maastricht, with many fun activities that are organized every year in a different theme.

External tournaments Every year we visit various summer tournaments with a large group of MSTV Stennis members, including our sisters Fellenoord (Eindhoven), Veracket (Groningen) and Chip & Charge (Amsterdam). These tournaments are one of the most fun things you can experience as a member. In addition to the matches you can play, many fun activities are organized at each tournament, you get to know many new people and there is constant fun!New paragraph
